Next Generation Award

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2026 ACEC Virginia Next Generation Award!

Completed nominations are due no later than November 21st.

The ACEC Virginia Next Generation Award, presented by the Next Generation Committee, recognizes member firms' employees who significantly contribute to their company’s success in the Engineering industry. Nominees should meet the following essential criteria:

• Ten years or less of engineering industry experience
• Demonstrate leadership in their area of expertise
• Involved in professional organizations
• Involved in civic and community activities
• ACEC Virginia involvement and engagement
• Community service
• Virginia engineering professional organizations

Member firm employees in all fields (engineering, business development, marketing, human resources, information technology, administrative, etc.) will receive equal consideration.

The ACEC Next Generation Award, presented by the NextGen Committee, recognizes member firms' employees who significantly contribute to their company’s success in the engineering industry.

Award Details

ACEC Virginia’s Next Generation Committee will evaluate nominations, and up to two awards of equal merit will be presented at the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards Gala on February 5th. Nominators will be notified before the Gala if their nominee will be recognized, and the nominee will attend the Gala as a guest of ACEC Virginia for the presentation of their award.
