Clark Nexsen recently announced the promotion of John Stuart to associate. As an associate, Stuart will be integrally involved in guiding the firm’s client-focused strategy to provide innovative, sustainable design solutions.
Stuart leads Clark Nexsen’s Richmond office, which is focused on transportation. His 27 years of experience in engineering and construction has provided him with an invaluable perspective on how the built environment can positively transform communities. This passion is based on the principle that transportation is the lifeblood of thriving communities and economic opportunity.
Stuart currently serves on the Transportation Committee of the ACEC of Virginia and is the Education and Mentoring Chair of the Central Virginia Post Society of American Military Engineers.
Dewberry announced the promotion of Kevin Wood, PE, to vice president in the firm’s Fairfax, Virginia, office. As a water and wastewater engineer with more than 33 years of experience, Wood is responsible for overall project delivery for water services projects throughout the mid-Atlantic region. He leads a team of water professionals and manages various contracts for water, wastewater, and water reuse projects.
Prior to joining Dewberry, Wood served as the director of engineering for Loudoun Water in Loudoun County, Virginia, where he managed the utility master planning, land development, and capital improvement programs. Currently, he is serving as principal-in-charge, client manager, or program manager for various municipal utility clients in northern Virginia.
Wood earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from West Virginia University. He is a professional engineer in Virginia and a member of the American Water Works Association and the Water Environment Federation, where he served as president of the Virginia chapter from 2005-2006.
