    Learning Objectives:
    • Describe the formation of incipient anodes, a.k.a. "ring anodes"
    • Anticipate concrete repair situations susceptible to development of ring anodes
    • Specify discrete galvanic anodes as part of a comprehensive concrete repair/restoration strategy
    • Prevent premature deterioration of repaired concrete due to the development of ring anodes
    Presenter Information:
Sean Murphy has been a Manufacturer Representative with BASF Master Builder Solutions for the last 4 years. His current responsibilities include the support and education of specifiers and contractors about system solutions related to concrete repair, protection, corrosion, structural strengthening, and repair preservation.

He received a B.E. degree with a concentration in structural engineering from Hofstra University, then taking a position with a design build firm. However, the intrigue of the construction/contractor perspective soon swayed him to the dark side. As such, Murphy took a position with a repair and restoration contractor with whom he was with for 14 years performing both small and large scale project renovations throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
