This session provides an overview of what the participants can expect in the coming months of the Leadership Training Institute. In addition, the session provides an overview of the ACEC national and ACEC Virginia, the makeup of the organizations, strategic goals, along with examples of recent and ongoing initiatives and seminars covered at the national and state level. The information will be presented by individuals with years of experience not only in business leadership roles but in leadership roles in ACEC at the state and national levels.
Robert Burkholder is a Principal with Clark Nexsen. He has served private and public clients as a managing principal, project manager, and civil engineer for more than 20 years. He understands clear communication is a key component in managing successful projects and excels at communicating and collaborating with clients and team members.
Paul Diggs is a Principal and Branch Leader with Schnabel Engineering with responsibility for the Richmond, Newport News, and Charlottesville offices. He graduated from UVA in 1984 with a BSCE and moved to Richmond to work as a Staff Engineer with Schnabel Engineering.
Dan Sutton is a Senior Engineer with Wiley|Wilson and specializes in site planning and design, municipal engineering, and programmatic stormwater planning. He is a 2002 graduate of Michigan Tech and has served as a health and water sanitation volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps in Mauritania, West Africa.
