Coughlan is the senior associate dean of the Robins School, where he has been a member of the management faculty since 1998. Over the last 15 years, he's taught courses on negotiations, decision-making and corporate values to audiences ranging from undergraduates to senior executives. Prior to graduate school, he spent five years in the hospitality industry, including more than three years on the management team of The Pebble Beach Resorts. Coughlan’s views on business appear regularly in national media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, National Public Radio, BusinessWeek and The Washington Post.
